Effective Monday, February 3rd, 2020, it will be required by the Crawford County Register of Wills office, when opening an estate, a death document must be filed along with the $vii.00 filing fee.

Information from 1954 thru 1974 (with the exception of Power of Attorneys from 1954 thru 1986) does appear as verified in Landex, please note that the Recorder of Deeds staff is reviewing information from this time period for accurateness. Please be sure to confirm with the Index Books in the Recorder of Deeds function to insure all information is right.

The Crawford Canton Commissioners have adopted a Uniform Packet Identifier System Ordinance. This ordinance becomes effective November 29, 2018. Delight note changes were made from the original ordinance filed. All documents identified in the ordinance must have a UPI number before they can be recorded in the Recorder of Deeds part.

There volition be a $xx.00 fee for each bundle that receives a number. This fee will be paid at the time of the document recording in the Recorder of Deeds office. It may be added to the aforementioned check equally the recording fee.
