Megan, activision makes a random notification available internally in the game from time to time. Where information technology allows the user to upgrade past paying simply the difference in the version.
There is no way to search for the notification, you have to wait for it to announced for you to be able to upgrade

I've been playing a solid like 5-vi hours each solar day since I bought this game like 4 days ago and I haven't gotten a notification to upgrade once.

Why is this an issue just for Xbox players ? Is this something to exercise with the sony special deal with phone call of duty and no 1 wants to talk about it, with all the fuss that Sony is causing with the Microsoft deal of buying Activision out. I retrieve this is a massive problem for people at present wanting a better deal, now they take giving the xp out every bit a sorry.
No one is bring this to the attention of the game web sites at all. That this is a deal breaker for Xbox owners.

Yeah, I've yet to run across this notification. The worst part was I was able to, at i point, purchase simply the Vault edition content. Which is now "non sold separately". Needs to exist fixed. Hopefully and oversight and not shady $ony concern.

After investigating, you should be able to buy the Vault Edition upgrade via the in-game shop. You can read more about this in our Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Two section of our Game Release Known Issues commodity.
How to purchase from the in-game store:

Make sure Telephone call of Duty: Modern Warfare Ii is updated

Launch the title and press "A" to start

One time in the game, navigate to "Games" and select "Modern Warfare II"

At the top of the screen, yous should see the post-obit options:

Play

Weapons
-
Operations
-
Battle Pass
-
Customize
-
Store
-

Navigate to "Shop" by using the correct bumper (RB)

Navigate to the bottom of the folio to the "Franchise Shop" department
From at that place, you should see the Modern Warfare 2 – Vault Edition Bundle listed as an improver with the ability to "View Bundle" or "Buy"

anybody find out im trying to upgrade to the vault editon but it says 99$ for me even tho i already purchased to the cross gen 1, will i only have to pay the divergence or another 99$ lmao

Correct, it is at present available for upgrade. Via the MS store , I can't confirm it'south available through the in game store. Though for a period of about a week this was not bachelor and this consequence was present. It has since been fixed.

I followed the steps just it nevertheless just shows the edition for $100 not the add together on for $30. :(

You have to observe the Vault edition content pack on the store...it'southward sort of subconscious in in that location. Not intuitive at all. I think I got to information technology by going through the game's xbox menu to pull up the games MS store page (make sure you lot see installed on the page). Then if you get down a few screens information technology should show other content. Somewhere in there is a Vault Edition content pack, which I was able to buy for $30 bucks to upgrade my game.
